Protecting the rights of asylum seekers through zealous representation and advocacy.
We are dedicated to protecting the rights of asylum seekers throughout the United States through zealous representation and advocacy. Asylum seekers are being denied a fair day in court to present their applications for protection. From the expedited processing of families seeking asylum, to the “Migrant Protection Protocols” (“remain in Mexico” program), which returns asylum seekers to dangerous Mexican border towns, asylum seekers are being rushed through the process and having their rights to hire an attorney severely limited. We aim to make legal representation a reality for more asylum seekers. At the border and throughout the United States, we believe that people who are fleeing for safety and seeking protection from our country are entitled to due process and equal protection under the law. We are committed to fighting for asylum seekers to have a fair day in court through direct legal representation and advocacy related to asylum law and policy.
Data shows that asylum seekers who are represented by attorneys are far more likely to be able to demonstrate that they qualify for the protection they seek. If you believe asylum seekers deserve a fair day in court, please help us by donating here!
All donations will support CAC’s efforts to provide zealous representation and advocacy on behalf of asylum seekers. Many donations will go directly to providing legal representation to individuals and families seeking asylum. Your donation has the potential to drastically change the life and future of an asylum seeker in the United States.
